With a successful streak of dates this summer in the UK and Europe, Quantic Aka Will Holland brings his 1000 Watts Tour to the U.S.
After the summer release of his dub-infused 1000 Watts (his third record as part of the ‘Flowering Inferno’ project), Holland is back with a live stage show featuring Colombian vocalist Nidia Gongora (both are members of Ondatropica and the pair released a song back in 2014), the industrious saxophonist/flautist Martin Perna (Antibalas, Ocote Soul Sounds) and esteemed percussionist Wilson Viveros, . The record is heavy on roots reggae, yet there are a couple of cumbias that will delight.
He began his tour in New York with a show at (Le) Poisson Rouge alongside a dj set from Nickodemus and continues his journey this week when he touches down in Chicago and Seattle before heading to Canada on the weekend.
