Mawimbi established in Paris in 2013 is a DJ collective and nascent label who seek to re-establish the existing bridges between electronic music and music on the African continent. From the townships of Soweto, through Bamako, Kinshasa, Chicago, London and North-west Brazil. Mawimbi use Afro inspired music to spread the multicultural idea of club culture.
In celebrating reaching 10,000 likes on Facebook Mawimbi have released a free compilation Radio Mawimbi . Volume 1 which features some of our favourite worldwide Afro producers, namely Cervo, Aroop Roy and Busy Twist.
