The first release of Eclectic Beats Music is from Portuguese artist and record label owner Fradinho!

Rui Fradinho has been DJing and record collecting since the age of 15, having played drums and keyboards on several different projects and starting his electronic music production journey in 2001, when he made his first ever original track – A Bright Future.

Lover of music of all sorts, Rui’s musical base stems across different genres, including House, Drum N Bass, Hip Hop, Footwork, Bass Music, having more recently nurtured a deeper devoted passion for all things Broken Beat / Nu Jazz.

There are undeniable major influences from Jazz, Soul, Funk, Latin, African, Brasilian and Global music on his productions and Rui has released remixes on several labels such as Lazy Robot Records, MJDC – Modern Jazz Dance Classics, Broadcite, Orrua Diskak and Ammonite Records.

The EP entitled A Bright Future blends a syncopated beat structure with an overall jazzy soulful funky groove underpinned by Latin and Brasilian percussion, an engaging bass line and cosmic synth licks.

Along with the original there are 5 remixes from the likes of the established Afronaut (Bugz In The Attic) that also features Mark de Clive-Lowe on keys, a wonderful Karmasound House remix, a Born74 Boogie Beat Mix, a Bruk Roller Mix from up and coming Mancunian producer Szajna and a darker, heavier and dirtier UK Garage approach by Porto based LSK.

Fradinho has called on producer Don Damian Botigue AKA Karma Sound for a housey broken remix of A Bright Future. This EP is a fantastic first release and one that we’re sure will be featuring heavily on Dancefloors worldwide as they begin to re-open in the coming year. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for this label. Out October 9th via Eclectic Beats Music you can pre-order your copy here.
