Premiere: Natty Reeves – 5:23am (Feat. Marnix FJ)

Brighton-based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Natty Reeves returns with new music from his upcoming album ‘Our Time’ releasing August 2021 on his ever-present label DeepMatter Records.

With his recent releases, Natty has stepped away from the singer-songwriting direction shown in the past and his put his attention towards his instrumental-focused releases, as seen on his recent projects ‘Solar//Fall’ & ‘Change//Perspective’ –– ‘Our Time’ is no different in that sense, but sees Reeves level up on the production and bring in some helping hands across the project from an array of the UK’s thriving jazz scene talents, such as Charlie Allen, Poppy Daniels, Ben Vize, Matt Wilde and Jackson Mathod.

In the album’s first single, ‘5:23am’ we’re hit straight from the off with Natty’s layered and well known rich textures of melodies and groove-heavy drums to amplify his newly developed sound thats hows growth within his production and his music as an artist. On ‘5:23am’ Natty finds himself in good company with Dutch producer and multi-instrumentalist Marnix De Haus who delivers some highly appetising keys throughout that add the finishing touch to an exciting start of what is going to be a delightful and powerful new body of work from Natty.

Natty Reeves is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer-songwriter currently residing in Brighton, UK. Taking inspiration from the likes of Chet Baker, Blake Mills and Antonio Carlos Jobim, Natty produces music riddled with charm and honesty that blurs the lines between Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop. His forthcoming album ‘Our Time’ drops this coming August via DeepMatter records.
