This weeks Macondo Mix comes from Leeds-based Jordanian DJ and radio host Yasmeen, the brilliant mind behind SouqSounds; a fantastic project showcasing art and culture from the SWANA region and it’s diaspora.
Through charity events and regular slots on Sable Radio and Narr Radio, Yasmeen is always creating spaces for open discussion and her shows always make for an incredibly fascinating listen, exploring everything from Turkish Cinema to experimental Sufi music in great depth.
This week Yasmeen has once again put together a mind blowing selection of music, this time diving into the world of Arabic film scores;
